I have created this list based on the current FL List of Alabama Crimson Tide football seasons. I believe it now meets all the criteria after a peer review helped me clean up the prose a bit.?NMajdan•talk 17:12, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Comments –
  • What makes http://cfbdatawarehouse.com/ a reliable source? And is it even needed, considering most of what it's citing has other sources? The number of bowl appearances probably doesn't even need a cite as it is verified by the list itself.
  • What makes http://www.soonerstats.com/ reliable? The home page says "this site ... is just a hobby". Note that this is different from soonersports.com, the team's official site.
  • "They have also recorded 42 total conference championships, have twelve undefeated, untied seasons and have the longest winning streak in Division I FBS history with 47 straight victories." To make the grammar better, the final pair of "have"s should be removed.
  • Why is World War II linked? This is so common that I can't see the purpose.
  • En dash needed for "win-loss".
  • "In 1947, Oklahoma promoted Bud Wilkinson, then an assistant coach at Oklahoma, to head coach." The "at Oklahoma" bit is a redundancy, as it adds nothing.
  • No need for two Southwest Conference links in the lead.
  • In the table, should Independent be linked? NCAA Division I FBS independent schools appears to be an appropriate article. Of course, I root for Army and Notre Dame, so I know what an independent school is by now. :-)
  • Another thing I note is that there are quite a few red links scattered throughout. They don't bother me that much, but this has been a topic of discussion lately on the FL criteria page. To avoid any questions, consider adding some stubs on particular seasons or bowl games.
  • Period needed at the end of note 4.
  • En dashes needed for page ranges in references 6 and 8.
  • Italics should be used for publishers in cases where references are from printed publications, like in refs 6 and 11.
  • 1991 Gator Bowl is a disambiguation page. Apparently there were two Gator Bowls that year. Giants2008 (17–14) 22:46, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Support – I'm going on the assumption that the two sources discussed are reliable enough, based on Dabomb's commentary.   • You might add asterisks (where necessary) after the conference finish to be consistent with List of Alabama Crimson Tide football seasons.
    • There's already an asterisk in the year column. Adding it to the other column is just duplicating the same information.—NMajdan•talk
  • "Switzer began similarly to Wilkinson, with eight consecutive conference championships and national championships in 1974 and 1975." Am I missing something? Eight championships in two years?
    • Two separate thoughts. I will reword. He won eight consecutive conf championships in addition to winning natl championships in 1974 and 1975.—NMajdan•talk
  • The citations are inconsistent. Also, don't mix citation template families; use either {{citation}} or the cite XXX (e.g. cite web, cite book, cite news) family, but not both.
  • The alt text is pretty good, but there are a few problems. For example, don't mention the provenance of the images, such as "Black-and-white photograph of". Also, some of the details cannot be verified by looking at the image alone; for example, you can't tell just by looking at File:1915 Sooner Football team.png that the men standing there are players and coaches (or that sixteen are players and two are coaches).     • I will rework the ALT text. The first reviewer who helped me originally with the ALT text is the one that added the "black and white" part, so I thought it was ok. If not, then I apparently need to also modify the ALT text on some other lists I am working on. Also, is it too much of a stretch to assume in an athletic picture that the two individuals wearing suites are coaches and the other sixteen wearing identical uniforms are players? Just curious.       • Alt text is subject to Wikipedia's policies on original research and verifiability, just like everything else. So yes, it would have been a bit of a stretch.
