Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of U.S. states by population/archive1
Reformatted this list: added pictures down the side like i did for Super Bowl champions. Phoenix2 17:46, July 22, 2005 (UTC)
- Nominate and support. Phoenix2 17:46, July 22, 2005 (UTC)
- Comment, pictures are too big for a 800x600 resolution. --Spangineer (háblame) 18:00, July 22, 2005 (UTC)
- Comment Pictures still seem a little too big (might just be my browser). Some of them just overlap the edge of the table. Also, is it possible to add district of columbia population in a separate box, perhaps. You could even go further and throw in Puerto Rico and other territories. Not necessary for the list, but may make it more comprehensive. List of U.S. territories by population could be an entirely separate article, of course. --Sophitus 18:52, July 22, 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for the information, I'm not sure what's going on with the picture i'm running Mozilla Firefox at 1024x768, I can make the pictures smaller yet. As for the DC population, I can add that to the list. Phoenix2 19:00, July 22, 2005 (UTC)
- I added the population of DC, but did not include it in the numbering. If there is a better way of implementing it, let me know. Phoenix2 19:04, July 22, 2005 (UTC)
- Support - looks really good now --Sophitus 00:14, July 23, 2005 (UTC)
- Object - needs population density information if it's to be comprehensive, SmokeDog 10:57, 23 July 2005 (UTC)
- SmokeDog, there is a separate list for population density so it would be pointless to add that to this list. Maybe I'll nominate that list later. Phoenix2 17:56, July 23, 2005 (UTC)
- I added the list mentioned above, List of U.S. states by population density under a "See also" section in the article. I think this resolves any problems --Sophitus 21:11, July 23, 2005 (UTC)

- Also, I've reformatted List of U.S. states by area. If anyone can add to that list's lead, or any other information, it can then be nominated for featured status. Phoenix2 02:47, July 24, 2005 (UTC)
- I think I agree with Smokedog. Why not include the pop density info on this page? And why not include the total population on the population density page? It adds more to the table and makes it more useful. I tend to think it's useful to have a number of lists with the same info, just sorted different ways (see list of elements by name, list of elements by symbol, list of elements by atomic number and list of elements by atomic mass). Though, I'm not sure what I think about having 3-4 featured lists that are rearranged versions of the exact same content. --Spangineer (háblame) 03:37, July 24, 2005 (UTC)
