  • The prize is named after Sir John Templeton, an American-born British entrepreneur and businessman, who was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1987 for his philanthropic efforts. -- Do not link American
  • Until 2001 the name of the prize was Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion and from 2002 to 2008 it was called the Templeton Prize for Progress Toward Research or Discoveries about Spiritual Realities.[ -- 1)Do not bold any other instances of the name just for emphasis, use italics or quotations per MOS:BOLD 2) Comma after 2001 and before and from
  • The monetary value of the prize is adjusted so that it exceeds that of the Nobel Prizes, as Templeton felt, "spirituality was ignored" in the Nobel prizes -- Remove the comma after felt
  • The prize has been criticised – British biologist and antireligious atheist, Richard Dawkins said in his book The God Delusion the prize was given "usually to a scientist who is prepared to say something nice about religion". -- 1)I can't really tell but is this an emdash or endash? 2)Remove the comma after atheist 3) +that before the prize was given

  • Okay the infobox says country: USA, but I see British date format and BrEng "criticised". Should this be using AmEng and American dates? This is an interesting case because Templeton was British but the Foundation is American. I could script change all the dates, but I actually wanted your opinion first as it isn't clear cut.
  • Do you have a cite for "Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion" as [3] doesn't cover it.

  • "The 1989 and 1990 prizes were awarded jointly." Slightly ambiguous. Were the 1989 & 1990 prizes awarded together, or were the two winners of 1989 prize awarded the prize together, and the same for the two winners in 1990. If it is the latter I suggest having two notes, saying in 1989 A & B were jointly awarded the Templeton Prize, and similary for 1990 with persons C & D.
  • I notice that for Mother Teresa ref 18 doesn't cover Founder of India's Missioanarys Charity and the Nobel prize, and I notice the official site does. So I'm guessing some of the notes may include paraphrasing from that latter source. This is fine, but it should be listed as a general ref.
    • More examples: "Founder of the Keston Institute", not ref'd by [19]. Founder of Zygon: Journal of Religion & Science, [22] cites "editor" not founder. Soviet dissident novelist, not cited at all in [24]. Benedictine monk and professor of astrophysics at Seton Hall University, [24] does not state where he was professor. There are more.       • Yes, indeed. I've removed Teresa's specific reference and added the previous winners list as a general reference. I have also left it as a specific reference for a couple of things in the lead and the footnotes. I hope that's okay because I suppose if I take them away, someone else will say "no refs for such and such..." The Rambling Man (talk) 15:51, 9 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • The title bar of the navbox at the bottom should be "Templeton Prize laureates" not "Templeton Prize Laureates"

  • File:SRadhakrishnan.jpg I've nominated for deletion on Commons, as India don't have PD-Gov system like the US. Needs replacing/removing.
  • File:Bbrighttempleton reduced.jpg, not sure about having a fair use image here. Yes, it is the actual photo of receiving the Prize, but in a column of photos it won't stand out for that reason. I'd say no to having this fair use image personally. (If it is going to stay it needs rationales etc.)

*:Could you suggest exactly what you're after in this case? I'm beginning to suspect that for these head-shot images, your mandatory requirement for alt-text will result in the removal of all images, or the duplication of text in the table, i.e. the name of the person in the image. For instance, what alt text would you add to the image of Mother Teresa? Or Freeman Dyson? And if you add alt text to one or two images, would you add it to all of them?
