Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/Animated representation of the orbit of the GPS system
- Reason
- This caught my eye some time ago, and I decided to take a chance an nominate it for FP status. The image shows a simulated orbit of the U.S. GPS system and the number of these satellites that are avaliable for use at a given point on earth at any one time. - Comment - It is an interesting idea but the animation is much too small to be useful -- Alvesgaspar (talk) 18:04, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose It's not really that useful, in my opinion; you can't tell what it's even representing unless you read the article. It could just as easily be a representation of an atom or the solar system. Dr. Extreme (talk) 20:36, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
