Original - Bank Hall, Bretherton in Lancashire, a derelict jacobean mansion house built in 1608.

Reason: A view of old (Bank Hall) and new (Daffodils), the dead and derelict with a new lease of life from the flowers that still grow there. A good contrast of life after death in the season of spring. A fine example of jacobean architecture and also of derelict buildings.

Oppose Quality is decent, but not great in my opinion. Given the relatively small resolution, the picture is not very sharp. The composition could also be better; I don't really think the daffodils need to take up a third of the image. Jujutacular ^talk 17:30, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
