Original - The Grable Event, part of Operation Upshot-Knothole, was a test of a 15-kiloton atomic artillery shell fired from a 280-mm cannon on May 25, 1953 at the Nevada Proving Grounds.

Reason: This is a great and sadly overlooked image of early nuclear testing with artillery cannons; although the image quality is somewhat low, this would be a hard subject of which to find a better picture.
