- Oppose original - @Bammesk: It's encyclopedic value is undeniable, but the image itself is little more than a sketch and isn't that compelling, IMO. I would, however, support as a featured picture if you wanted to add it as an Alt. Kaldari (talk) 21:38, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
- Kaldari, I added the alternate, thanks. Looking at a google image search [1], all images are based on the 1810 sketch. Bammesk (talk) 02:36, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

- Support oriignal, Strong oppose alt: There's very poor documentation, but what there is indicates this is probably a modern colouring of a black and white original. We have a notable version of this featured already - the Copy printed in "A Memoir of Jane Austen", and while we certainly could promote the sketch as the only copy actually drawn from life, of which the others are based, but take various liberties, we certainly can't promote an undocumented colourisation, which is arguably a potential copyvio. - Adam, FWIW I updated the sourcing of the Alternate image [2]. Bammesk (talk) 19:21, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
- Well, it still doesn't document the colourization - in fact, it makes it clear that the original very definitely wasn't colourised, so that's... kind of a big problem copyright-wise. We know which book it comes from now, I suppose, but we're not nominating the book version, we're nominating a colourised one. Adam Cuerden (talk)Has about 7.8% of all FPs 05:49, 9 March 2021 (UTC)
- I agree, I revised my vote. Bammesk (talk) 01:45, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose alt, as per Adam, and the fact it has no high-EV usage. Weak support original. Josh Milburn (talk) 17:55, 7 March 2021 (UTC)
