Original – Commonly known as the Silver Moony, monodactylus argentus is a species of fish in the family Monodactylidae (moony fishes). The image shows a silver moony kept in a salt-water aquarium in Taiwan.

Reason: There are relatively few fish FP compared to other categories because of the technical difficulty of obtaining good photographs. This photo shows a popular salt-water aquarium fish. It's sharp, encyclopedic, has accurate colors, and good resolution.
