Previous projects
editResearch Expeditions
editUser:Ambrosia10 trialled the research expeditions schema for Wikidata, creating and enriching items about expeditions conducted by Te Papa and its predecessors. This work was supported by Wikimedia Aotearoa New Zealand.
Outputs included:
- 120 Wikidata items for expeditions
- Internal and public topical editathons
- Presentations to staff. For example this presentation to the Te Papa natural history team.
- A Wikidata-driven infobox for articles: {{Infobox_expedition/Wikidata}}
- A detailed report on the project, including recommendations for best practice and institutions looking to reproduce the work
WikiProject Te Papa Research Expeditions
Natural History team
editUser:Giantflightlessbirds worked during autumn 2023 to share information about our natural history staff and their research throughout the life of Te Papa and its predecessors.
Several detailed Wikidata items and Commons categories were created, providing helpful groundwork for articles.
Articles improved include:
- Patrick Brownsey (Start-class article created, Wikidata improved, publications disambiguated)
- Nancy Tyson Burbidge (expanded with link to Pat Brownsey)
- Aciphylla (Significantly expanded with species list, citing 3 Te Papa blog posts)
