Data and collections KB and NA

During their GLAM-Wiki collaboration the KB and NA organize all sorts of events, often coordinated by their Wikipedian-in-Residence Hay Kranen. Hay will also present the project during conferences, seminars, workshops and other events. Furthermore the GLAM-Wiki coordinators of KB and NA will visit Wiki events in the country and abroad to stay in touch with the Wiki community and to keep their knowledge about the Wiki universe up-to-date. Conferences, seminars, workshops etc. visited by the Wikipedian-in-Residence Hay Kranen will present during the annual Wikimedia Netherlands conference (page in Dutch) on Saturday 2nd November 2013 in Utrecht. Europeana Fashion Edit-a-hton (page in Dutch), 13th May 2013, Utrecht During their Wikipedian-in-residence project KB and NA will organize multiple edit-a-thons late 2013/early 2014. To get a practical taste of such a writing day the KB took part in an Europeana Fashion edit-a-thon on 13th May 2013 in the Centraal Museum in Utrecht. GLAMwiki UK, 12-14 April 2013, London In April 2013 Olaf Janssen (GLAMwiki coordinator of the KB) visited GLAM-Wiki 2013, the annual international meetup of on the one hand Wiki volunteers who are interested in working with open heritage and on the other hand (representatives of) museums, archives and libraries that want to collaborate with that volunteer community to get their content & expertise out into the open. Wikimedia Netherlands Conference 2012 (page in Dutch), 9th November 2012, Utrecht On 9-11-2012 Olaf Janssen (on behalf of the KB) visited the sixth annual Wikimedia Netherlands Conference in Utrecht. This was a one-day event for and by people interested in the technical and social developments in the field of wikis in general and Wikimedia projects in particular. Wikimedia GLAMcamp, 2nd December 2011, Amsterdam Olaf Janssen (on behalf of the KB) visited (the public event of) the Wikimedia GLAMcamp at Mediamatic Amsterdam on 2-12-2011. This marked the first formal contact of the KB with the Wiki community Wiki-events organized by KB and/or NA Behind the scenes of KB & NA (page in Dutch) - on Saturday afternoon 8th June 2013 KB and NA, in collaboration with Wikimedia Netherlands, organized a joint Behind the Scenes event for Wikipedians. The 27 participants could get themselves familiarised with the institutions, their collections and open data.
