Rationale for Wikimedia and libraries working together
edit- English language Wikipedia is the 5th most popular website in the world. (Source: https://www.visualcapitalist.com/the-50-most-visited-websites-in-the-world/)
- Wikipedia is available in many languages (currently 310) ... if you have other language skills you can work in those languages.
- Wikipedia has sister projects including Wikimedia Commons and Wikidata
- Wikipedia is an encyclopedia ... libraries are full of facts and references (citations) e.g. 1813 crossing of the Blue Mountains;
- There are a lot of Australian and NSW events, people, objects, buildings, etc. that can be included in Wikipedia if we can demonstrate their notability e.g. Sydney punchbowls
