Welcome | Writing challenge | To-do |
This project has been created to improve content related to the Teyler's Museum and its sister organizations founded by Pieter Teyler van der Hulst, a wealthy Haarlemmer and member of the Scottish Enlightenment who left all of his wealth to his city in the pursuit of free knowledge. In 2011 the museum was put forth for UNESCO status by the Dutch ministry of culture. In 2012 the museum has committed to donating some media content to Wikimedia Commons, and this project will focus on this unique collaboration that started with a backstage pass on January 21st. The main part of this project will be an international writing challenge, with the goal to extend the coverage of Teylers related articles to all Wikipedia's in all languages. You are invited to help with this effort by adding topics to the list of needed articles and adding the Teylers WikiProject template to the talk pages of existing Teylers-related articles. Version 1.0 assessmentseditPLEASE NOTE: For the Teylers writing challenge, the Version 1.0 assessments structure is useful for article tracking purposes, and that is why it has been implemented. The state of the grid at the start of the challenge can be seen here: Wikipedia:GLAM/Teylers/Multilingual Challenge. The usage is based on the value of the "importance" flag, with articles of top importance receiving the flag "|importance=top" and so forth. This wikiproject does not have any assessors, so most challenge-related articles will be labelled "start class". Please do not consider this a value judgement, and if you are willing to be an assessor for this project, please make yourself known on the talk page!
