Articles
editArticles worked in small groups need to be developed collectively in the sandbox of one of the members (group leader) before publishing it into Wikipedia. All participants should contribute individually to the contents (all edits are recorded in the page history).
Group sandboxes will be listed above. For a user named "Johndoe22", his sandbox is [[User:Johndoe22/sandbox|]]
)
Please note: if you want to expand an existing article, please copy first the wikitext of the article into your sandbox, then work on it safely.
List of articles to be created or improved:
Articles to be improved or extended:
- Boundstone
- Micrite
- Cyclic sediments, particularly the autocycles (the Ginsburg model is missing) - User:Sheldon.brè/sandbox
- Carbonate platform#Classification: the classification of carbonate platforms must be extended - User:Giorgia.guzzo95/sandbox
- Carbonate platform#Drowning: a chapter on drowning could be added - User:Kökkerö/sandbox
- Carbonate platform#Highstand shedding: also, the definitions of highstand shedding and slope shedding may be added - User:Meyneth/sandbox
- Carbonate platform#Geometry of carbonate platforms: the geometries of carbonate platforms are described with little detail. A commented list of potential geometries (biostrome, mound, flattened mound, platform, ramp, distally steepened ramp...) would be useful - User:Gynballo/sandbox
- Carbonate platform: also one or more figures illustrating geometries and facies relationships would help the reader a lot.
Articles to be created:
- Automicrite (new article) - User:F.guzzo.1/sandbox
- Microbialite: this article may require some editing of wikipedia as a whole. At the moment, there is a page on stromatolites which content, however, overlaps with the concept of microbialite; there is then a stub on thrombolite. Both these articles may need to have a link to microbialite once the page is created. There is no page for leiolite. - User:Matteo guelfi/sandbox
- Lumignano, with a special care to the geology of the Lumignano area. There is an article about Longare, of which county Lumignano is a part.
- Vicenza stone. This article is present in the Italian wikipedia, but it is missing in the English one. See [1].
Examples of good articles:
Students are invited propose to the teacher what articles they prefer to improve or write from scratch, following their preferences and personal inclinations.
