In the course of Visual and Material Culture in Medieval Europe, academic year 2023-2024,[1] held by professor Zuleika Murat, the students can create or improve Wikipedia articles about specific disciplinary content.

This project is a part of it:Progetto:Coordinamento/Università we are leading in the Wikipedia in Italian, fully supported by the community. The same university had other courses running with Wikipedia (in English, in Italian).

Introduction of wikipedia. First steps.

Workshop

During this workshop, we introduce Wikipedia as a learning tool and its essential guidelines.

Hint: Wikipedia:VisualEditor

To enable Visual Editor:

  1. login with your username on Wikipedia in English
  2. go to your preferences Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing
  3. unckeck the option "Temporarily disable the visual editor while it is in beta"
  4. in the "editing mode" menu, choose "Show me both editor tabs".
  5. press "Save" button and the bottom of the page.
  6. reload page(s).
