Request: Please vectorize, crop (so that they're the same size), add transparency and upload to Commons. (Both files) Frenzie23 (talk) 15:33, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Also, use the same descriptions as in the original files. Note: The descriptions in both files are different. 'Polski' means Polish (in Polish). Frenzie23 (talk) 15:36, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@Frenzie23: Could you find some PDFs with the logo on it. Seems difficult for me. ///EuroCarGT 02:40, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Frenzie23: That's quite low resolution. I do have a Port Lotniczy Radom vector uploaded but it doesn't seem good File:Port Lotniczy Radom logo.svg. ///EuroCarGT 20:05, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Font is Neo Sans if anyone has it and can type and create outlines of the text. The icons looks fine. Connormah (talk) 06:20, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hand-vectorized english logo with font. I'll try to clean up the polish version too. Sn1pe! (talk)(edits) 14:51, 15 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please change the colour of Georgia from orange to this blue

Jaqeli 20:43, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Anyone? Jaqeli 13:37, 22 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What is the purpose of that change and what is wrong with the current color? Orange currently used is fine: It is okay (for a reader like me) among all the other colors used here, as they make a rainbow. Also, it is not too similar to the neighboring colors (I clearly see the difference even in the preview format used above, but if you can't, you might want to ask for a paler shade of orange), so orange is fine by me and, I believe, other people would think the same. Besides, blue color you suggest will not be okay, because a similar shade is used for "both Latin and Greek" (Cyprus).--R8R (talk) 21:16, 30 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
@R8R Gtrs: Can you change it to that blue? All those orange colours look the same and they should have different colours. I cannot work with SVG so if you can please do so. Thanks. Jaqeli 13:07, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't originally going to do so, but fine, it's not too difficult. The shade of blue is (I have to repeat myself) not okay. I originally thought it would be too similar to the color of Cyprus, but I was wrong; it is too similar to the color of water instead (not _any_ easier to distinguish from the color of water than the current the current Georgian and Cyrillic colors, I think, esp. in a preview size). Therefore, I made orange much paler; I fairly believe, it causes no confusion now. If it still does (to which I would be surprised), I see no color that would be fine (except for light gray, but I'm not sure if gray is appropriate). For reference: the current color is this:

Also, shouldn't the legend read "Georgian and Cyrillic"? Moldova uses the "Latin and Cyrillic" color, but Moldova's sole official language is Romanian (Latin-based), but the breakaway republic of Transnistria, which is recognized by no UN member, but does exist in fact, has three official languages, all of which are Cyrillic-based. Georgia has breakaway de facto existent republics as well, and at least Ossetia uses Ossetian and Russian, both Cyrillic-based.--R8R (talk) 18:17, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@R8R Gtrs: You can note the Cyrillic but please also be conrete where it is used in the description as it would confuse the reader. Thanks for changing the colour but this orange is of course better but not the best so it would be best to use some other colour. Why do you think that blue will make it as the color of water? Maybe we can try from these?

I've said your blue looks like water too much because I actually tried to color Georgia like that. If the scale is low (i.e., the picture is small-sized), the coastline of Georgia isn't clearly seen. And that is the problem: if you don't look carefully (and are not good with geography), you might think that the country is a part of the Black sea. And, unfortunately, same works with your colors, both look much like water on a small-sized picture (also, the second color of the two is also too similar with the Armenian color; the first one is slightly different even on a small-sized picture than water's, but the coastline is still unclear and there are colors without this problem). We already have a green color on this map; pink isn't great either given we use red. Of all colors I've tried, only pale orange and pale gray work fine (cause no confusion with the neighboring colors). Of which I think, orange is the best choice (gray is normally used as "other than above," so one would have to stay away from it unless there are no other options). Besides, the color used nowadays causes no confusion with the Latin indigo, Cyrillic red, Armenian yellow, or pale blue water. I don't see a way how this could be improved, and therefore consider the request to be completed in the best way possible.--R8R (talk) 07:07, 5 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  Done I've put one up. I left out the labels on the right for now, but I can add them in if you think they're necessary (I don't think they are). MjolnirPants Tell me all about it. 19:17, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Looks great, thank you very much! Labels on the right aren't necessary, and there's only one small suggestion – in the lower left area, there's an arrow with "JIT" label under it, and it would be good to move that arrow (together with the "JIT" label) a bit to the left so the middle of the arrow is where "Dalvik" and "Native" boxes meet. That way it might be a bit more clear that Dalvik bytecode is translated into native code using just-in-time compilation. — Dsimic (talk | contribs) 21:48, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
