Wikipedia:Meetup/Boulder/November 2013

Boulder is beautiful this time of year, as indeed it is every time of year. Come on down!
Seriously, we have no photographs of the Boulder Public Library on Wikipedia? We do now!

Wikipedia Loves Libraries took place at the Boulder Public Library in beautiful Boulder, Colorado on November 16, 2013. Come by to chat about Wikipedia with other editors, plan the next set of local Wikipedia events, fix up some local articles, upload photographs, and hang out with other local Wikimedians!

Location

edit
  • Boulder Public Library on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 2pm to 6pm. We'll be in the Boulder Creek Meeting Room.
    • The library closes at 6pm, so we should aim to wind things down/move somewhere for dinner at 5:30pm.
  • Parking: The City parking lot off Arapahoe Avenue and adjacent to the library is a "Pay by the Space" parking lot, however, library patrons, including people using the Boulder Creek Meeting Room, may park for free for up to three hours. Library users planning to stay at the library for more than three hours are advised to park elsewhere. These parking restrictions are in effect between 9 am and 7 pm Monday through Saturday only. Please be advised that in the future, all library users may be required to pay to park. Parking questions need to be directed to: Parking Services at 303-441-7300. (from http://boulderlibrary.org/about/creek_usage.html)
  • However, parking in downtown Boulder is free on Saturdays.

Plan

edit
  • We could take photographs of the Pearl Street Mall and old buildings thereabouts.
  • A lot of Boulder articles need work or creating, including:
    • Boulder Library
    • Boulder, Colorado could use a bit of tidying
    • It'd be nice to put our heads together and make a list of Wikipedia articles relating to Boulder county that we could work on. This would make it easier to plan both editathons and photohunts in the future!
