Wikipedia:Meetup/San Francisco/Edit-a-thon
Peteforsyth (talk · contribs) and Kaldari (talk · contribs) are considering a small "Edit-a-thon" event. The goal is to get about 5 or 6 newbies and Wikipedians together in person to work on a specific article or two in an evening, or maybe a weekend afternoon.
Feel free to add your name below; but for this one, we are going to cap the numbers, to have a small event. If it's popular we will definitely do more -- and of course, feel free to start your own if you like!
Possible articles to work on
editI suggest we choose two articles that are likely to appeal to people with different interests. Both should be of fairly broad interest though, so that if people want to bounce back and forth between the two, that is easy to do. Perhaps one that is specific to San Francisco, and one that is more general in nature. Please add ideas below.
- San Francisco mayoral election, 2011
- Great American Music Hall
- Healthy San Francisco
- Barbary Coast Trail
- Culture of San Francisco
- 1868 Hayward earthquake might be interesting (it was the original "Great San Francisco Earthquake").
- Death of the Hired Man or After Apple-Picking - famous poems by Robert Frost, no articles
- The American Claimant - novel by Mark Twain, stub
- Mexican art
- …<add yours here!!>
