About the event
editPeople's History Museum in Manchester and the Working Class Movement Library in Salford are working on a joint project called Voting for Change to improve their collections on campaigns to broaden the vote, from the Peterloo protest in 1819 to lowering the voting age in 1969.
Following on last year's edit-a-thon, together with Wikimedia UK and the Manchester Girl Geeks, we're inviting people to share their knowledge of these significant moments in British history and come and spend a day editing Wikipedia. Wikipedia editors will be on hand to show you the ropes, and staff from the Museum and the Library will help decipher source material.
Please bring a laptop and some packed lunch, and we’ll provide the coffee (and other drinks)!
