  • The article is just a long list of tourist attractions of delhi. We need a very comprehensive article on the capital atleast like we have for mumbai and chennai. plus i am sure a lot of people will be very easily able to write lots of stuff about delhi.
  • Here's a question - should Delhi be merged with New Delhi? If not, how exactly should they be differentiated? Should we pitch New Delhi as the seat of the Union Govt and Delhi as a general Indian city? -- Brhaspati (talkcontribs) 20:19, 2005 Mar 5 (UTC)
    • we should merge some of the info from delhi into this, but as delhi is now almost a state, New Delhi seems more appropriate as the national capital. however we will have to figure out the city limits for new delhi. more input from people in the actual area is required. kaal 20:36, 5 Mar 2005 (UTC)
    • Good point. As an addendum, we currently have Delhi, New Delhi and National capital territory, and they all use sliding definitions of "Delhi". New Delhi makes this claim in its introduction: New Delhi is the third largest metropolis in India.. But this contradicts its own Geography section, which states As of 2005, New Delhi's population is 292,300. There are probably 50 Indian cities with a population greater than that ([1]). It is not clear whether the statistics quoted in Delhi refer to Delhi (city) or Delhi (state) or (Delhi (either) + satellite towns in other states). How should we divide the articles? -- Brhaspati (talkcontribs) 20:51, 2005 Mar 5 (UTC)
  • Delhi is the state/UT. New Delhi is a part of Delhi and it history begins much later. In short ND is a subset of Delhi. Nichalp 19:36, Mar 7, 2005 (UTC)
