I've listed this article for peer review because i'd like to nominate it for FAC eventually. This article was nominated for peer review last year however received no comments.
Thanks, Freikorp (talk) 11:53, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
Comments by Emir of Wikipedia
editI'll give some review. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 22:45, 11 October 2016 (UTC)
- Update. That's all my comments. Do you want any more or shall we close the review? Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 12:52, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
- Assuming you don't see any major issues with the themes section i'll be happy to close this now. Thanks for your comments; I appreciate it. Freikorp (talk) 13:09, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
- I don't see any majors issues. I hope the FAC goes well. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 13:18, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Lead
editThe lead looks good, but perhaps mention about the allegations of plagiarism. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 13:25, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
- Done. Let me know if you think that's sufficient or could be worded better. Freikorp (talk) 10:14, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
- I made a tiny edit to the wording which I think flows better. Please check it out to see if you agree that it's an improvement, but other than that the lead seems great now. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:13, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
Infobox
editThe infobox also looks good, but why is Gary G-Wiz cited. I don't see this information as controversial. Furthermore what is Cameron/Eglee Productions; is it made by their production companies or by them personally? Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 13:25, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
- Not sure why Gary G-Wiz was cited. I removed the infobox citation and instead added a sentence to the music sections regarding the theme song. I've also clarified in the prose that Cameron/Eglee Productions was the name of the production company formed under their partnership (Dark Angel would be the only show produced by said company). Freikorp (talk) 10:02, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for those changes. The infobox looks great now. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:15, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
Plot
editThe plot sections for season one and two look good. They appear to be written originally and aren't copyright violations. I'm not however sure about the plot section for the third season. I have looked at some film articles such as John Carter (film), and unproduced sequels have their own section. Unfortunately however I have not been able to find what the standard practise for unproduced TV seasons is. I personally think that it may be more appropriately placed in the production section or its' own section. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:26, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
- I've moved it to the production section. Freikorp (talk) 01:45, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for the change. It is now placed more logically. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:28, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
Cast and characters
editThis section looks all good. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:28, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
Production
editThis section looks pretty good. My two main suggestions are about the season three as mentioned above and a possible citation for the bit about the production company if it's not already in the given source. A minor suggestion is to make the Casting and Filming subsection more concise, but I understand if that's not possible. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:41, 13 October 2016 (UTC)
- I couldn't actually find any commentary on the production company, but I did find a reliable source that lists all the works of said company. As the only work is Dark Angel i've added a sentence stating that to the section. Freikorp (talk) 01:54, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- It's understandable that you couldn't find any commentary if they only produced one work, but thanks for adding the reliable source. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:29, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
Reception and legacy
editIt looks all good here. The only possible thing that I think could be added is a full list/table/graph of viewers per episode, however this information is absent from the article List of Dark Angel episodes so I understand the information may not be available. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:35, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- Yep, I spent a fair amount of time searching for viewing ratings; everything I found (which wasn't much) is already in the reception section of the article. Freikorp (talk) 00:30, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for that hard work. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 10:42, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
Home media
editThis section seems perfect. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:36, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
Related media
editThe last paragraph lacks a citation which is concerning. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:37, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- I was hoping the book itself would serve as an implied citation, kind of like how plot sections don't require references as the media itself is the source. I guess i'll just see what the consensus is if and when I nominate this for FAC. Freikorp (talk) 00:31, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
- I'll be happy to wait for consensus. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 10:43, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
Alleged plagiarism
editIt looks all good here, especially now that it's mentioned in the lead too. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:37, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
References
editAll formatting appears to be correct. It looks like all sources are reliable, and no links are dead. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:39, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
Categories
editThe American LGBT-related television programs and Lesbian-related television programmes and Feminist fiction categories don't appear to be mentioned anywhere in the article, but I may be wrong as I'm not up to date with their slang and synonyms. If these categories are correct then I think they should be mentioned in the body as they may be considered as controversial especially for a show of the time that this was released. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 11:41, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hmm I never even really looked at the categories. No you're not wrong. The feminism one has probably just been added as it's a lead female show; i'll have a look for a reference for feminism tomorrow and if I can't find one i'll remove it. The LGBT and lesbian categories have been added because one of the reoccurring characters (Original Cindy) just so happens to be a lesbian. I've added some brief commentary about the reception of her character's lesbianism to the 'reception and legacy' section. I don't want to describe her as a lesbian in the 'cast and characters' section for the same reason I don't describe people by their race. It shouldn't be important. Freikorp (talk) 14:00, 14 October 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for adding the bit about the lesbian, did you happen to find a source about it being feminist? Or do you think your original presumption was correct that it was just added due to its female lead? Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 10:43, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
- I have found sources for feminist themes. I'll try to getting to writing about it this afternoon. :) Freikorp (talk) 01:42, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for the search. I've got the page on my watchlist so I'll see any changes. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 10:30, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- Just letting you know I haven't forgotten about this, it's just taking a while. I've downloaded several journal articles on themes and am slowly reading through them as time permits and putting together the beginning of a themes section in my sandbox. Freikorp (talk) 13:38, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
- No problem. I thought something like this was the case, and that's why I made my comment above. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 14:51, 19 October 2016 (UTC)
- Ok, all the ground work is done for the themes section, though i'm likely to make adjustments as time permits. Let me know what you think. :) Freikorp (talk) 12:28, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
