Wikipedia:Peer review/History of the New York Giants (1925-1978)/archive1
I started this article/subpage as part of my overall project to upgrade the NYG history coverage. It was promoted to GA and I'd like to get some feedback before I submit it for FAC. Thanks in advance for any advice. Quadzilla99 04:30, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Since there were no editor responses I generated an automated peer review. Quadzilla99 11:57, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- The following suggestions were generated by a semi-automatic javascript program, and might not be applicable for the article in question.
There may be an applicable infobox for this article. For example, see Template:Infobox Biography, Template:Infobox School, or Template:Infobox City.[?] (Note that there might not be an applicable infobox; remember that these suggestions are not generated manually)- There is no infobox. Per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (numbers), there should be a non-breaking space -
between a number and the unit of measurement. For example, instead of 4322 yards, use 4322 yards, which when you are editing the page, should look like: 4322 yards.[?]- All the ones used in measurement terms are now done that way. I'm not sure if 38 touchdowns should have one, since it's not a unit of measurement so I didn't change those. Quadzilla99 12:13, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Per Wikipedia:Context and Wikipedia:Build the web, years with full dates should be linked; for example, link January 15, 2006.[?]- Fixed, there was one unwikified date in the refs. Quadzilla99 13:37, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (headings), headings generally do not start with articles ('the', 'a(n)'). For example, if there was a section called ==The Biography==, it should be changed to ==Biography==.[?]
There are a few occurrences of weasel words in this article- please observe WP:AWT. Certain phrases should specify exactly who supports, considers, believes, etc., such a view.is consideredmight be weasel words, and should be provided with proper citations (if they already do, or are not weasel terms, pleasestrikethis comment).[?]- Fixed, wording chaged. I checked the automated script again within the edit box and the message did not display. So they're definitely all removed. Quadzilla99 12:38, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
Avoid using contractions like (outside of quotations): wasn't.- I've looked through the article thoroughly, those only appears in quotes. Quadzilla99 12:59, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
