I've listed this article for peer review because…
I've done a great deal of expansion of it in the last week or so. It's been through some contentious GA reviews previously and ultimately I'd like to get it to FA status so I'd be glad of a review with the goals of promoting to FA or at the very least a smoother navigation of the GA process. Two particular questions I have are regarding the external links, as to whether they're all appropriate for the article, and in referencing books multiple times using WP:CIT templates I'm unclear as to whether or if page numbers are required and if so how to put them on subsequent citations.

- Questions about external link appropriateness are addressed here.
- In response to your books in references question, I believe the best way to do that is list the books in a bibliography section, then in the references section note the pages with a <ref>Author, p. #</ref>. Some articles do the same with the books listed as references and the page numbers in a notes section, but since you are also including news and magazine articles, the bibliography - references sections would be appropriate.
- I would consider rearranging her life sections, where now it is arranged in decades with much prose between headings. Can you break the first heading into sections like "Gumm sisters" and "MGM career" for example, and do similar for the heading 1940 - 1950?
- I don't know if Wizard of Oz was as popular as it continues to be (like It's a Wonderful Life was a flop, but has maintained an iconic longevity), but is there information about how her films were received, or her reaction to her own fame? It seems more should be added to her roles in Wizard of Oz and Meet Me in St. Louis.
- Similar to the above point, Garland still remains a very popular performer, long after her death. Can you add a "Legacy" section that illustrates how widespread her fame is, including books written about her, films made of her life, other performers being inspired by her, and her inevitable role as a gay icon?
- How about condensing her drug use and relationship issues (which are legendary, in my perception) into a "Personal life" section?

- Thanks for the feedback. Much of the material you're suggesting as a "Legacy" section exists on various sub-pages, including List of Judy Garland performances, Judy Garland discography, List of Judy Garland biographies (which includes fictional portrayals) and List of Judy Garland awards and honors. That last included a section on her status as a gay icon, which I'm planning on using as a basis for another separate article. Those that currently exist are all linked in the "see also" section but a brief legacy section would certainly be appropriate. I'm concerned about trying to break out her personal life into a separate section because her personal life was so intertwined with her professional life, what with her marrying a director, a manager and a tour manager. - I've added a legacy section to the main article that summarizes biographies, awards and gay icon status, each of which has a sub-article. Judy Garland as gay icon is new. Otto4711 (talk) 17:48, 26 December 2007 (UTC)
