During the last year, this has developed into a fully-referenced MOS-compliant list and is now almost ready to be a featured list candidate. Looking forward to suggestions to make this happen.

- Hi to give some quite general comments, I would say if you want this to be a featured list then it needs to have a larger introduction section and in particular to specify a bit more clearly what the inclusion criteria are, the relevant guideline being WP:SALLEAD. I would also consider having an introduction to each section since at the moment we have seemingly arbitrary divisions (Pre-1940 blues / 1940–1979 blues / Blues since 1980) which I'm sure are made for a reason but this isn't explained in the article (and it's not clear to me as someone who doesn't know much about
jazzblues). I think working on these two issues would improve the list a lot. Mujinga (talk) 12:27, 22 August 2020 (UTC) - Another thing would be alt texts for the images, per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Accessibility/Alternative text for images Mujinga (talk) 12:33, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Mujinga: Thanks for the comments. Regarding the selection criteria, I thought "musical artists who are primarily recognized as writing, performing, and recording blues music" covers it, besides being notable, i.e., having a WP article. Do you have any suggestions? —Ojorojo (talk) 15:50, 22 August 2020 (UTC)
- That sentence sounds a bit vague to me to be honest, but I'm not an expert on list selection criteria, maybe someone else has an opinion. Does Shadwick have more to say? Notability in terms of having released a record on a label or something like that might help, or at least mention of having a wikipedia page, since right now it just feels that anyone can claim to be a "musical artist who is primarily recognized as writing, performing, and recording blues music", if you see what I mean. - I'll work on adding a statement to indicate "Every entry meets the notability criteria for its own non-redirect article in the English Wikipedia." (from WP:CSC). Thanks again. Ojorojo (talk) 14:30, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
