I would like to nominate this photo. It is a very detailed, close-up look at a Champ Car in the paddock being prepped for racing. The image appears in the article San Jose Grand Prix. It was created by myself, Illumynite, while I was attending the race. I feel the image really is an attention grabber, with the bright yellows, and "starbursts" from the morning sun reflecting off of the surface of the car.

Comments:
- I honestly feel what you call 'starbursts' would be called 'blown highlights' on the FPC page and would stop this dead. Even if your starbursts got through there are other badly blown highlights which would also get opposed, such as the hair on the guy behind the car, and other reflections off the car that are not 'starbursts'. To be honest there's other problems too, such as the distracting foreground (is it a rope fence there, plus that kid's bike). I think it would struggle. --jjron 10:39, 5 August 2006 (UTC)

- Second jjron, and I'm afraid I'll have to go a bit further. The Composition is unfortunate, the car is cut and occluded by the post, the rope, and the bike. The background is fairly busy - not bad per se - but it hurts the subject by having it blend in too much. I'd have to oppose. --Dschwen 21:58, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
