Articles on political figures, especially elected officials, may include information about the subject's political views. Less notable statements should not be included if they constitute excessive detail. Because the salient political issues will change, the inclusion of minor statements, just because the issue is relevant today, is recentist. Do not populate a section about political views with many small subsections.
