I've never worked on a portal before, but I have created this one over the last few days. Here are what it features-
NineFourteen selected pictures (all featured on Commons or a Wikipedia project) with a procedure in place to nominate more- Eleven selected articles (all good or featured here) while there are a few fungi articles heading there as we speak
Thirty-nineForty-eight selected species (all of did you know quality) while there are plenty more that could be added at any time- I will add some more when I get around to it- A did you know section that will be updated whenever new fungi articles are featured on the main did you know section (a few a week- 24 so far this year)
- Various links that can be updated as appropriate, but do not really need monitoring.
I am happy to maintain the portal, and a few other members of the WikiProject have already said that they think it looks good. Basically, I am looking for reccomendations of what is needed to take it up to featured portal status, as well as how I can "advertise" it- what's the etiquette here? Where and how do I link to it?
