Administrators can salt pages at their discretion, even preemptively, if they meet one of the following criteria:

1 | The page has a title of the form Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Username, where Username is the username of an administrator. | WP:PREEMPTSALT#1 |
2 | The page has a title of the form Wikipedia:Long-term abuse/Username, where Username is the username of an administrator.
Note: Any autoconfirmed user may request create protection of its corresponding long-term abuse page, even preemptively, if the user was not banned, and isn't a sockpuppet of a banned or blocked user. |
