editMany system settings options missing under "System administration" in KDE Plasma 5 "System Settings" screen
editIn my Fedora 22 installation, when I open the "System Settings" KDE app, I can't see the options to configure user accounts, change system time, etc. Compare this with the screenshot at [http://askubuntu.com/questions/452672/kdm-theme-in-kubuntu-14-04

- First, I'd make sure you installed the entire desktop with "sudo yum install @kde-desktop". Then, if there is a setting icon you are missing, it is likely part of an optional package (which Kubuntu is installing by default). You can install the settings packages you want. There are many, such as system-config-network and system-config-users and system-config-nfs... 199.15.144.250 (talk) 16:33, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
Upgraded for Win10 and can't use Keyboard Hotkeys in Word 2010
editJust finished installing Win10. All works fine but I suddenly can't use any hotkey in my MS word. It's devastating for me in editing documents. Please help!!! Ben-Yeudith (talk) 11:23, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
Re-installing fixed it. Ben-Yeudith (talk) 20:00, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- I am sorry, it wasn't really resolved. Now I encounter the same problem agagin even though it seemed to work for for that one time after re-installation... :\ Ben-Yeudith (talk) 00:47, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
- Sorry to hear that. I've removed the resolved tag, but I don't have any info on how to solve the problem, other than going back to your previous version of Windows. StuRat (talk) 03:55, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
- I now have better understanding of the mechanism of the problem User:StuRat... It seems that MS word suddenly changed the hotkeys from (for example) CTRL+X to Shift+Del, or from CTRL+C to CTRL+Insert... How can I manually change these back to their originals in MS word? (If it should be from there) Ben-Yeudith (talk) 19:23, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
- Here is a post about someone having the same problem after upgrading from Windows XP to Windows 8: Shortcut keys don't work in MS-Word on Win8. The most popular answer says switching to an Arabic keyboard layout before opening Word will disable many Ctrl+letter shortcuts, but switching to an English keyboard layout before opening Word will re-enable them. However, some people said that didn't resolve the issue for them. Other answers explain how to go to Word's "Customize" options where you can change the keyboard shortcuts or reset them to their defaults. --Bavi H (talk) 01:25, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
