MIPS4KE has MMU?

edit

Do the 32-bit CPU architecture MIPS4KE have MMU ? Bytesock (talk) 15:59, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I searched the web for "MIPS4KE data sheet" and found this 4KEc data sheet which says that it (the 4KEc) does. -- BenRG (talk) 17:29, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Name for time to complete dialing a telephone number

edit

I'm in the NANP. I've noticed that if you start to dial a number but then don't press the next number in time, you will get a message saying that the call is invalid or something like that. Is there a name for this time between numbers? I'm going to contact my phone company and ask about it, but I want to be able to use the correct term/description for this. Thanx. 104.229.143.192 (talk) 17:27, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think you've explained it well here and they will understand what you're talking about if given that explanation. Dismas|(talk) 17:30, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Timeout would be my name for it, but there might be different timeouts, such as before dialing the first number and between numbers. StuRat (talk) 17:48, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I second StuRat's comment. See also off-hook tone and permanent signal for more about what happens after the timeout. clpo13(talk) 17:54, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Although I'd caution you about using technical terminology when calling customer service, as you often get somebody in another nation who barely speaks English, much less knowing any technical terminology in English. StuRat (talk) 20:24, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Interdigit timeout, or inter-digit timeout. Akld guy (talk) 21:27, 14 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Follow up: To my great annoyance, it is four seconds and they (According to them) cannot change it. ):< 104.229.143.192 (talk) 19:07, 17 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why annoyed? How much time do you need? Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 01:51, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This might not work for people with certain disabilities. StuRat (talk) 04:54, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
OK. Makes sense. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 03:51, 20 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
