mysterious orange icon in half life 2

edit

Hi. there's a scene in HL2 where you have to connect 3 batteries in order to allow a gate to open up. the building you're in while you do that has a toilet in it. above the toilet are some health and ammo. I used the gravity gun to reach all the stuff over the toilet and I think I saw some sort of small orange square appear on my screen (possibly with rounded corners) - towards the bottom right corner of my screen - and there was a symbol on it which might (or might not!) have been a little like a piece of string. (edit: to make it clear, the square was not an object in the game - more like a symbol to show you'd collected something - like when you pick up health).

it was only there for a short while and I was playing the game very late at night. does anyone recognise what I'm talking about? was I hallucinating?

thanks in advance. spiggy --83.104.131.135 09:24, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

EDIT: having played further into the game, I now know the mysterious orange icon is some sort of ammo for the pulse rifle thingy (and it's a circle, not a square). spiggy 83.104.131.135 08:28, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yep it's the alt-fire for the combine assault rifle. --76.106.15.180 03:37, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Music video

edit

What's the music video from a year or two ago where a couple, after they've made love, walk down the street picking up the clothes they took off on the way to bed? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.213.119.98 (talk) 15:28, 8 May 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I have a feeling it was actually an advert. But that was in the UK, so maybe not for you? If it was an advert it might well be linx?Cyta 07:33, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is there an equivalent of Ticketmaster for Europe? Failing that, could you recommend some websites that list upcoming music/dance/art performances in major European cities. I’m specifically looking for concerts that take place in late May and June in Munich, Vienna, Venice, Kassel, and Amsterdam. Thanks! S.dedalus 23:49, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think Ticketmaster operates in continental Europe (although it does in the UK). For Vienna, try this and this. --Richardrj talk email 07:57, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
If you want it, you can have my ticket for this concert; I won't be able to go because of another engagement. Skarioffszky 10:39, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wow, thanks for the offer, and for Pierre Boulez too! It looks like it takes place in Amsterdam on June 1? (I can’t figure out how to translate the page) Sadly, I won’t be in The Netherlands until late in June. But thanks again. Also, thanks for those links. They’re quite helpful.
