Radio advice movie

Well, Grosse Pointe Blank has a woman working at a radio station, but she doesn't create a persona, doesn't give advice, doesn't get anyone calling in to say that they love her, and she doesn't claim to be her coworker and say that they shouldn't ask her out. Also, her romantic interest is her high school sweetheart who's become a professional killer (and who kills Benny "The Jet" Urquidez with a pen during their high school reunion). I thnk sarcasm, irony and Kitsch are all involved but ultimately they are just being silly. They are jovially ridiculing the type of T-shirt and the type of people that might wear it. Jumbled version of the present as seen from the future

This is a vague question, but I'm hoping it will ring a bell with someone. I am looking for a book, TV show or game (can't remember which it was) which is about the present time, but as seen from the far future - leading to all sorts of ridiculous juxtapositions such as mixed technology (I seem to remember something about flying motorcycles?), historical characters appearing in the wrong era, confusion between actual historical events and fiction, and so forth. I think Robert Sheckley's Journey Beyond Tomorrow (also published as The Journey of Jones) had a premise something along these lines, that the central character was from the present day but his story was told from the perspective of a distant future in which it had been distorted into legend. --88.110.22.71 (talk) 09:54, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Name of an Anime-Ova-Movie based on Journey to the West

Hi. I would like to know the name of an anime that I saw when I was a kid. I'm not sure if it was a series or a movie or ova or whatever. I can only recall very few and vague information about it because it was a long time ago, this is what I remember:

-It is based in Journey to the West (no, it's not dragonball) -The main character is a kid, I think he has red hair -he flies in a cloud and has a staff that enlarges -His best friend is a fat guy -He meets a green or blue guy that looks like a super sayan trunks that has the ability to throw spikes from his body. -He meets another guy, well, they are group of four in total the main characters. -They seem to be part of a space-police unit. -The final boss is extremely powerful, I think he even transforms a couple of times. -The might be space-police unit fights several powerful aliens trough the movie/episode.

I can't recall any more details, I've searched about animes that are related with the Journey to the West story but I haven't found anyone similar.

I have allready checked this list on wikipedia List of media adaptations of Journey to the West#Comics, manga and anime, that's why I'm asking here because no one of the series listed is like the one I'm telling. Here the main character is a kid with red/brown hair in form of an onion (like those troll toys). He is indeed a kid, not a monkey, not a tall man or teenager, I don't remember if he has a tail, I remember that he has big eyes in a costume somewhat similar of Son Goku from Dragonball, I think it's even red. Maybe I'm wrong and the main characters aren't with a space police unit, maybe they are just bounty hunters, I'm not sure. The best friend of the main character is a fat small guy with a clumsy look, I think he also has a flying cloud. Another scene I remember is the suposed final boss giving electric shocks with some kind of tentacles to the main characters. Does anybody have a clue on what anime or ova could it be????????????????

Trying to identify a scene about hiring a bodyguard, maybe in a Louis Theroux show

Hi. I am trying to identify a scene for a documentary that I saw some time ago. It basically involved three East Asian men, one was a businessman, one was his (very burly) bodyguard and one was a (pretty skinny) interviewee for a bodyguard position. The business told the interviewee that part of the interview would involve him sparring with the bodyguard, firstly with the interviewee attacking the bodyguard and the bodyguard defending, then with the roles reversed. When the interviewee attacked with a range of martial arts moves, the bodyguard basically just stood still and hardly flinched, when the roles were reversed the bodyguard easily used his massive weight advantage to overwhelm the interviewee in a couple of seconds. I have a feeling that it might possibly have been a Louis Theroux documentary, but I can't track it down. I wonder, can anybody help me identify this scene, please? Many thanks in advance. Star Wars clone - animated film

When I was younger I happened to buy this film on cassette from a car boot. It is, for all intents and purposes, a retread of star wars as an animated film. The 'Luke Skywalker' character was a young man who was a slave in a mine, who escaped to 'the surface' (which the miners did not believe was habitable, rendering them helpless). The 'Han Solo' character enlisted the aid of four droids from his spaceship in a battle. During the story some of the characters come across cyborg-type mutants who steal organic body parts from their victims. Anybody know what this is? And was it popular in its day? In some ways it is, particularly at the beginning. Once out of the mines though it very much turns into a Star Wars clone. It's a strange fish, the animation wasn't bad at all, it certainly didn't look like some cheaply slapped together film. Someoneanother 15:59, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
