Lou Reed and Jim Morrison

Did Lou Reed and Jim Morrison ever meet? Did either of them make any comment on the other's music? --Viennese Waltz 08:50, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

A Google search for the word string "lou+reed" and "jim+morrison" reveals largely unsubstantiated claims that Reed called Morrison a "talentless hack" and a "fucking asshole". He also reportedly said that “Iggy was just a bad imitation of Jim Morrison, who wasn't very good anyway.” Citation needed on all those, though. According to this book, Morrison attended early Exploding Plastic Inevitable shows featuring the Velvets at the Trip nightclub in Los Angeles in May 1966, and stole EPI dancer Gerard Malanga's idea of performing in tight leather trousers. Morrison then, and later, had a relationship with Nico - as Reed had briefly done earlier. Clearly they would have known each other, and it's unlikely that Reed would have had a high regard for Morrison's musical or lyrical talents. Ghmyrtle (talk) 21:10, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

There is more here from Richie Unterberger (usually very reliable, in my experience): "Morrison had seen the Velvet Underground at their first California shows at the Trip in Los Angeles in May 1966, a gig at which the then-unsigned Doors might have played some shows as the support act if the engagement hadn't been canceled after a few days. Some have speculated that the dress and image of one of the Exploding Plastic Inevitable's dancers, Gerard Malanga, influenced Morrison's own appearance as Doors frontman..... And as Ray [Manzarek] also confirmed, "Jim liked Lou Reed's lyrics a lot. Dark, New York, gay and junkie. Almost like John Rechy in City of Night" — the 1963 novel whose title the Doors would use as a key lyric of their classic "L.A. Woman." Ghmyrtle (talk) 21:27, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

Assassin's Creed French comic original release dates Volumes 2 & 3.

Does anyone know the original release date of the French Assassin's Creed comics?

I know Vol. 1 Desmond was November 13, 2009, but I cannot find the original French release dates of Volume 2 & 3. Does anyone know what they are? Nicholasprado (talk) 22:40, 22 July 2012 (UTC)
