'60s song: "...groovin' with the kernels..."

edit

A psychedelic story song of the '60s in the style of Alice's Restaurant, but shorter and not nearly so popular. I've been looking all over the web for years and have posted Qs elsewhere with no luck. Basically, the narrator is riding a motorcycle, crashes, and ends up in the middle of a cornfield. The only hook I can recall refers to being out in a cornfield '"groovin' with the kernels."' I know that's not much to go on, but perhaps SOMEONE besides me remembers that hook. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.232.111.67 (talk) 01:48, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Total stab in the dark here, but after his notorious motorcycle accident, Bob Dylan retreated to "Big Pink" with The Band and recorded a shit-ton of songs that became known as "The Basement Tapes". Some of these were released on a 1975 album called The Basement Tapes, at least one of which was about the motorcycle accident, "This Wheel's on Fire". . It doesn't sound like the song you are describing, but the article List of Basement Tapes songs has the full list of songs recorded then, and perhaps one of them was also about Dylan's motorcycle accident in the style you are describing. Again, a complete stab in the dark, but when I heard "story song" and "motorcycle accident" and "1960s" my brain went to Dylan and the Basement Tapes. --Jayron32 03:34, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Are you sure it wasn't Groovin' with the Colonels? -- ♬ Jack of Oz[your turn] 10:06, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Russian movie

edit

I'm looking for a russian movie I've seen. Part of it is about a doctor who goes out with his friends, gets drunk in a bathhouse misses his airplane and winds up in a foreign woman's apartment thinking that it's his place. I think it's at least a 20 year old movie. 193.224.66.230 (talk) 12:04, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is The Irony of Fate (1975). You're welcome! Steve T • C 20:55, 12 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
