What Pokemon video games were released in 1996?Ohyeahstormtroopers6 (talk) 18:27, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

See Pokémon (video game series). Dismas|(talk) 20:08, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Tetris Attack was later Pokemonized, so half counts. InedibleHulk (talk) 20:10, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Season 1 was released ten months after the premiere. This one premieres in June. So, April 2016. Maybe. InedibleHulk (talk) 20:03, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Or wait, no. I forgot what year this was. April 2015. Maybe. InedibleHulk (talk) 20:05, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. 2015 is the new 2014. StuRat (talk) 01:22, 1 March 2015 (UTC) [reply]
I stopped watching TV after the Doom of '09. Since the regularly scheduled blocks disappeared, I've only had fleeting glimpses of whatever era this was meant to be. Do the kids still like Ouroboros? InedibleHulk (talk) 11:19, 1 March 2015 (UTC) [reply]
Although there doesn't seem to have been annoucement yet unlike with season 1 where the DVD had been annouced by now [1], I would also suspect April or May although probably more likely May. Our article suggests the third season is premiering in June, as did the second season. For a continuing US series, I think the premier date of the next season is often a closer indicator of the DVD release then the premier of the season to be released (edit: I mean to be released on DVD), unless the DVD is released very soon after the season finishes like within 3 months, or since this was a Netflix show and it was released at once, perhaps 6 months. Around a month before the next season is often roughly the time the DVD is released, to build interest and to give those who didn't see the season time to catch up and this may still apply to a Netflix show. Similar songs

edit

I would be fascinated to hear people's favourite songs. Also, if anyone knows of any instrumental songs similar to the Harmonic Brass Ensemble (War), or Battle Without Honour or Humanity please say.

Thanks!

Mine would be "Gentle on My Mind", as rendered by Ethel Merman. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots22:52, 28 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ethel Merman singing anything gently sounds about like Carol Burnett singing I'm Shy ! StuRat (talk) 01:21, 1 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
JackofOz: so asking for similar songs is also not asking for assistance? That sounds strangely like a request for help in "finding information" to me. I can recognise that the aside was not really relevant though, and have struck it. 109.157.240.231 (talk) 09:28, 1 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that. This is a lesson in how first impressions count massively more than is generally supposed or acknowledged. You refer to your opening sentence as an "aside", whereas, its primacy in the posted paragraph would favour it being considered the main topic, and later jottings being regarded as asides, or at least secondary questions. So, thanks for clarifying what was what in what I take on trust were your thought processes. -- Jack of Oz [pleasantries] 20:59, 1 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I came with the question, then I wondered about favourite songs so posted that too. Apologies for my error, and thanks for understanding. 109.155.61.25 (talk) 18:42, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You can use Pandora Radio which uses data from the Music Genome Project to find songs that are similar to a given song. There are many other similar music recommendation services that try to find songs/artists based on a given starting point. You might try this one [2], or browse this google search [3]. More generally, you can find stuff you like by knowing the terminology better, and Pandora can help with that too. SemanticMantis (talk) 20:00, 2 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And as for a more Wikipedia-friendly approach to finding out people's favorite songs, we do have the article List of songs considered the best (not quite the same thing as favorite, but still maybe of interest to you) -Elmer Clark (talk) 12:56, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
