Autobiographical article

edit

Good day, Yesterday I created a new bio page. Could you please check and tell me if I was successful in creating and saving it and when it can be seen on Wikipedia and found when searched for - how long does it usually take until it is online?

Thanks a lot for your help, 'ASATRIAN Karen (talk) 07:46, 3 May 2019 (UTC)'[reply]

Hi. You've created an article about yourself, but you've put it on your userpage. That's not really what your userpage is for, have a look at WP:UP. As for writing an article about yourself, you can't really do that either, see WP:AB. In order for Wikipedia to have an article about you, it has to be written by someone else and it has to show that you are notable, i.e. that your activities as a musician have already received significant coverage in reliable independent sources. See WP:N and WP:RS for more on this. --Viennese Waltz 09:01, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
User pages often have a brief autobiography (like maybe a couple of sentences) and might include an appropriate link. But I'm not seeing anything there that looks like an independent claim of notability by Wikipedia standards. ←Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots16:06, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Donald Duck / Infinity Gauntlet fanart

edit

Please see this Donald Duck fanart. He is wearing the Infinity Gauntlet from Marvel on one hand.

My question is:

What's he wearing on the other hand? Is it some other item from Marvel or something?

I checked the image comments on DeviantArt but didn't find an answer there.

Thanks in advance. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 12:58, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That is Paperinik (Duck Avenger), Donald's vigilante/superhero identity from the Italian comics. I think the item is the "Extransformer Shield" from PKNA (1996-2001), though I have read few issues of that series. Scroll down this page for images of Paperinik wearing the Shield: Duck Dodgers vs. Paperinik.

Per the description of the Shield's abilities:

  • "Stoked by special crystals that could keep it working for 200 years, made by mutagen materials and "expanded tecnometal" "
  • "Can't be destroyed, can block and deflect every kind of projectiles, can send electrical counterattacks by contact"
  • "Normally worn as a glove, but it can change its form and become whatever PK wants it to (such as a jetpack, for longer flights)"
  • "Can fly with the same speed of that of a rocket thanks to its isotopic-magnet pulse reactor"
  • "Can shoot lasers like a normal blaster capable of melting heavy materials"
  • "Can shoot a part of itself that turns into a bladed boomerang"
  • "Can generate holograms of whoever Paperinik wants (himself included)"
  • "The Commutator Gravitational Ray - Can increase/decrease the victim's weight and make him float uncontrollably or smash him on the ground"
  • "The Holographic Psychocollector - Scans the victim's mind and turns his worst fear into reality"
  • "The Bradionic Ray - A OHKO attack, the Extransformer shoots three green rays that petrify forever the victims"
  • "The 87Bis - A teleporting function that never works"
  • "The Crasher - Paperinik's punch extends itself and goes wherever he wants it to hit"
  • "Recall Switch - A switch that changes the Extransformer's shape and puts it back into the belt".

For more traditional Paperinik equipment, see Paperinik: The Special Devices. Dimadick (talk) 14:19, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dimadick - That's great, thanks. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 10:55, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
