Italian detective series set in Trieste

edit

Several years ago I saw on TV an Italian crime series, I think it was called "Inspector Trento" or something like that. I'm pretty sure it was set in Trieste and the detective was a divorced guy with a college age son. It was probably made around 2005. Does this ring a bell for anyone? I've been looking in English and Italian Wiki and the only one I've found in Trieste is [1], I'm pretty sure this isn't it. 93.142.111.205 (talk) 15:45, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This gives a list of Crime Series set in Italy, with Inspector Vivaldi being one set in Trieste. If that's not it, check out the list on the right of that page. Mikenorton (talk) 15:54, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
(edit copnflict) it:Mio figlio (miniserie televisiva) with Lando Buzzanca is from 2005 with a sequel it:Io e mio figlio - Nuove storie per il commissario Vivaldi in 2010. The detective is called Federico Vivaldi. PrimeHunter (talk) 15:59, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, that was quick! The name "Vivaldi" doesn't sound familiar at all (excluding the composer) but a lot of details match. I don't remember that the son was gay but the wife's name could've definitely been Laura. Will have to check the others. 93.142.111.205 (talk) 17:53, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
"In the series premiere, Inspector Vivaldi investigates the case of a girl who turns up dead at a party. Why does Stefano lie about being present at the same party? " - yep that sounds like what I watched. I think this is it. 93.142.111.205 (talk) 17:56, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

John Ritter II

edit

Hi All, there is another John Ritter film that I have been looking for, for ages. He is an abusive husband and enters rehab (for violence against women). He then wins back his partner and again beats her. The film then develops that she again leaves him, he reforms and even starts a society for reformed men who commit domestic violence. He becomes the poster boy for reform and begs for the woman to take him back. All her friends tell her not too, but after being quite persistent, she takes him back and...he beats her again, holding her hostage when the film ends. As I recall it was based on a true story. Any help finding this would be much appreciated. Thanks. Anton 86.149.140.101 (talk) 16:35, 2 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Good name for a film that received "little to no" critical acclaim. InedibleHulk (talk) 21:14, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
