editsimilar sounding song
editI was doing some shopping at a local Duane Reade here in Brooklyn. Over the loudspeaker, a song was playing. It featured a woman singing. (It also had a similar sound and upbeat tempo to "Salsa Heat" by Michael Sembello.) The chorus consisted of "Lace up my broken heart. Lace up my broken heart, boy". Does anybody know what the song is, and who sings it?2603:7000:8106:C149:493C:1AB0:98FF:EB53 (talk) 03:09, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- The chorus of "Cross My Broken Heart" starts with the repeated line "Cross my broken heart, boy." Might that be it? --Lambiam 12:35, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- The Jets, who sang "Cross My Broken Heart", released it in 1987 and it was a top-10 hit. Being that both The Jets and Michael Sembello were working at the same time, pop music of the 1980s, it is likely that the songs would sound similar. --Jayron32 16:12, 2 June 2021 (UTC)
- That's it. Thank you so much.2603:7000:8106:C149:7485:C31C:8914:ACFE (talk) 04:20, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
