editwhere's Tina?
editTrue Stories has a scene in which a procession of people perform at air-mic to "Wild Wild Life". All the members of Talking Heads are listed among them, but I cannot spot Tina Weymouth. Which one is she?? —Tamfang (talk) 03:04, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
- She may not have been in that particular scene, or the version of it you have seen, since the article mentions that:
- "The music video version of "Wild Wild Life" that debuted on MTV is largely a scene taken from the film, in which many of the film's characters (including John Goodman) lip-synch to the music in a night club; the video version is more risque and features more pop music references/parodies than seen in the film; the Prince and Billy Idol parodies remain in the film version."
- In the "Official Video" version on David Byrne's YouTube channel that I've seen, my best guess is that she's the (heavily disguised, grimacing) blonde in the gold-studded pants suit seen between 1:04 and 1:11 {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.197.27.217 (talk) 07:24, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
- That person has a bit more of a five o'clock shadow and Adam's apple than I remember Tina Weymouth having. I'm pretty sure that person is not supposed to be female, but rather showing a typical hair metal singer, ala Shout At The Devil-era Vince Neil. I'm pretty sure that's Tina who is the woman that removes her wig, revealing a bald head, from 0:38-0:43. --Jayron32 12:20, 24 May 2021 (UTC)
- In This thread from SMDB, someone lists her as appearing at 2:49 with the big bow on her head. That could be her too. Several people also concur with that assessment, and at least one person lists her as the bald lady I did above. She could also be in the wig doing the Sheila E impression from 2:15-2:25. I think the Prince impersonator there is Jerry Harrison. Honestly, I think about half of the people in that video on stage are The Talking Heads in disguise. Heck, even the woman in the hazmat suit in the beginning could be Tina. If you freeze-frame on each of the female characters, you'll see the nose is basically the same on each of them; and it matches Tina's nose pretty well. The rest is makeup and wigs. Looking closer, I think the hair metal singer noted above is Chris Frantz. --Jayron32 12:44, 24 May 2021 (UTC)

- I think Jerry Harrison is "Billy Idol" (0:30–36) and kung fu guy (1:54–59), but not "Prince"; Chris Frantz is the Nashville cowboy (2:30–41) and the Lakers fan (3:04–09). —Tamfang (talk) 00:55, 28 May 2021 (UTC)
