editDanganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
editSince I'm trying to translate Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc into Arabic, I need to know what its title exactly means.
What does Danganronpa mean?
And what does Trigger Happy Havoc mean? "To start/initiate/activate a happy/joyful/contanted devastation/disorder/mess/chaos"? Since when chaos is a joyful thing? Because the antagonist is sadist, maybe?

- THe Danganronpa article says "The series' name is a portmanteau of dangan (弾丸?, bullet) and ronpa (論破?, refute)". trigger-happy is an idiom meaning "Having a tendency or desire to shoot a firearm irresponsibly before adequately identifying the target" or by analogy, "Inclined to behave recklessly or violently at the slightest provocation". so "Trigger Happy Havoc" mean something like "dangerously irresponsible destruction". - You should also note that the name given for the English version is not, in fact, a translation of the original name - the literal meaning of which is given as "Danganronpa: The Academy of Hope and the High School Students of Despair" You should consider which name to use - it would make more sense to translate from the original Japanese, rather than via the English version. - I once wondered why the "Famke Janssen" article on Arabic Wikipedia is based on an English-language pronunciation of her name (فامك جانسن) rather than the actual original Dutch pronunciation, but it seems it's not going to change... AnonMoos (talk) 10:29, 29 March 2017 (UTC)
