- and other IPs on the same 70.134.*.* subnet has been promoting his personal POV on energy conservation-related issues for several weeks. See my talk page for more detailed info. His persistence and refusal to engage in any kind of debate makes it pretty clear it is a vandal. I am reporting here so that I don't run afoul of 3RR. Nova SS 20:39, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

- After looking at every diff from each of the afore mentioned IPs and adding timestamps and tags for future reference, I will make an initial statement that this user, who is the same user across all of the afore mentioned IPs, is participating in pushing the POV of 'fueleconomy.gov is the only source of information related to the subject.' One notable diff is where the user deletes another source to implement unsourced information (Since when can unleaded fuel vehicles use E25/E30?). The edits this user has conducted do include helpful edits such as spell-checking and cross-linking articles with others relating to fuel efficiency and supply. The user needs to be told to use the Show Preview button as well. Whether or not the POV pushing out-weighs the minor contributions, I cannot yet determine. Once this can be determined, the user can be notified. However, the only way I can think of to notify the user would also cause collateral damage due to temporarily blocking all of 70.134.x.x (70.134.0.0/16) --ZsinjTalk 20:48, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
- Please check this guy's edits[1] to the National Maximum Speed Law to see examples of his maliciousness on just one article. Nova SS 22:12, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
- That's a very good indication of just how set this user is on injecting his fuel efficiency quips into unrelated articles. Unfortunately, this user has a dynamic ISP. I will continue to look into how to contact this individual. I have left a note on the talk page of the IP this user has most recently edited from.
- I added the user's August 21 IP to the list. Nova SS 01:39, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- Now I added his Aug. 22 IP to the list. Nova SS 14:47, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
- Note that this vandal keeps making edits of questionable merit. The last edit I saw was on Sept. 4. He keeps editing the same pages, so there may not be much of a point in adding his latest IPs. Nova SS 16:18, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

- 70.134.64.0/18 (works until 128) and 70.134.128.0/20 (works until 144) have been blocked for one week with a anon-only, account creation allowed, block. The full block reason was cut off and is as follows: A user from within this range is a long-term vandal and has been cited and recorded here. This user is reminded to read WP:NPOV, WP:CITE, and WP:3RR which applies to sockpuppets too. --ZsinjTalk 13:30, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
NOTE: Are you sure it isn't an AOL account? AOL IPs are dynamic and constantly change, so it might be some high school clique screwing around. The velociraptor 04:32, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
- This guy's edits are too consistent to be some clique. Also, check the WHOIS links for the IPs. They correspond to SBC Internet Services. Nova SS 14:29, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
