Images
editPeople
edit- Ingemar Stenmark lacks pictures - it seems possible that someone has a picture of him.
- Cornelis Vreeswijk has an image, but a free one is needed.
- Bo Giertz lacks picture
- Gunnar Rosendal lacks picture
Buildings
edit- I have uploaded several Uppsala pictures on Commons, but lack images on most of the nation buildings, except Värmlands and Södermanland-Nerikes, and those photos aren't really very good either. Uppland 30 June 2005 14:49 (UTC)
- Probably, someone has an old image of the Kockums crane. If so, it would be nice to have a free image of it. Väsk 30 June 2005 15:15 (UTC)
- Most of the larger universities, excluding Uppsala and Lund, lack any pictures. Pictures of Stockholm University (also useful for a future Ralph Erskine article), Gothenburg University and (and others) would be nice. / Alarm 30 June 2005 18:02 (UTC)
- I intend to take photos of some Gothenburg University buildings for use on the Wikipedia article, during this week. Atilim Gunes Baydin 17:28, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
- Several landmarks of Stockholm lack pictures, such as, Kista Science Tower, Slussen. Should be rather easy for any Stockholmer with a digital camera. / Alarm 30 June 2005 18:02 (UTC)
- Moderna museet. Uppland 30 June 2005 17:45 (UTC)
- Swedish Museum of Natural History (if anyone goes out to Stockholm University to take pictures, it would be a good opportunity to take some pictures of the Museum, the building of the Academy of Sciences, from the Bergian Botanical Garden and other scientific institutions in the Frescati area. Uppland 30 June 2005 17:45 (UTC)
- I would be happy if PD pictures of the various Swedish football stadiums could be taken or found. Especially stadiums used by teams in Allsvenskan and Superettan, meaning for example:Örjans vall, Stockholms Olympiastadion (newer pic needed), Behrn Arena, Landskrona IP, Söderstadion, Idrottsparken, Sundsvalls IP and more. I'll create the missing articles shortly.
- There are now images of image:Malmö stadion.jpg, and on Olympia, Helsingborg.
- There are no modern-day city photographs in the articles about Luleå, Karlstad, Kalmar, Växjö and Östersund. / Alarm 15:33, 31 August 2005 (UTC)
Businesses and products
edit- If anyone has som old picture with a Clock restaurant or some part of it, preferrably with the logo, it could be useful for the article on Clock (restaurant). Uppland 30 June 2005 14:49 (UTC)
Other
edit- Good photos of the insignia for the Order of the Sword, and for the other Swedish royal orders (which as yet have no articles). May perhaps be arranged with one of the shops that sell such things to collectors? Uppland 30 June 2005 14:49 (UTC)
- Images that are suitable for the article Swedish hip hop. --Tsaddik Dervish 12:32, 18 August 2005 (UTC)
Articles
editExpansion
edit- Oil phase-out in Sweden is in need of updating following the 2006 election, as well as information on the political context, from a Swedish speaker (sources of information in English are limited). See also this Peer Review request. Gralo 12:19, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- A number of biographies for rather important people, e. g.: Fredrika Bremer - Tage Danielsson - Gunnar Ekelöf - Tage Erlander - Astrid Lindgren - Ulrika Eleonora.
- List of Swedish magazines is in itself is significantly expanded, but almost all of the listed mags are red links. / Alarm 1 July 2005 11:14 (UTC)
- Elitserien, teams, players, need expansion. Missing articles include current champions Frölunda HC (they removed Västra last autumn).
- Need phonetics and/or IPA: Nässjö, Örnsköldsvik, Vårgårda.
- Forests of Sweden lists only four forests. It seems like it is intended to be a list, so it might sit better at List of Swedish forests or somesuch. / Alarm 12:13, 19 August 2005 (UTC)
- The part above the 'Discography' section in the Leila K article needs improvement. And so do a few other articles about Swedish music acts. For example: Titiyo, The Hellacopters, Sahara Hotnights, Caesars Palace, Sophie Zelmani and to some extent Neneh Cherry and Viktoria Tolstoy. (see M.I.A. for inspiration) --Tsaddik Dervish 19:15, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
- The Music of Sweden article could use a few more sections that later could/would branch out into articles of their own (like the 'Hip hop' section begat Swedish hip hop). Suggestions; R&B, Dance music (the kind they play in nightclubs), Alternative rock/Indie rock, Rock music, Pop music and Electronica. --Tsaddik Dervish 19:37, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
- Industrialization of Sweden, important part of the history of Sweden. / Fred-Chess 06:11, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
- Sweden general election, 2006. I have begun a section on the election campaign, with the intention of summarising the main election issues. Could someone (preferably resident in Sweden) help by adding issues as necessary and checking for POV? Tamino 20:34, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
- Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant request to include recent criticism, see Talk:Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant. Source material provided. / Fred-Chess 13:08, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Cleanup
editSweden-related articles with a Wikipedia:Cleanup or similar tag.
- Finland's language strife - long article that needs copyediting and structure
- JL - Has been reviewed as a 'advertising article' and needs rewriting
NPOV
editArticle with a NPOV-tag
- Scandinavia
- Sweden during World War II (section on Sweden and the Jewish people NPOV-tagged; others about collaboration with Germany also disputed. The article needs someone with some knowledge about the period, and rewriting to become more coherent.)
- I made a comment there already on April 11, 2006. (See talk page section #Fact check). Is this the same issue? / Fred-Chess 15:42, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- It is partially about the same issue, although I think at least some of the Jewish people section was added after the discussion in the Talk:Sweden during World War II#Fact check section. It's a bit of a shame that the article is so bitty and controversial given that it begins well and is about an important topic that needs to be treated objectively. Is there anyone out there who knows more about the subject?? All I know is from general WWII knowledge, reading about the invasion of Norway (which is how I found out about the Allied request to use Swedish territory en route to Finland) and an excellent biography of a Swedish race biologist (Min farfar var rasbiolog by Eva F. Dahlgren if you see it in a bookshop). Tamino 20:26, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I can't say much about the subject. However, unsourced claims can be freely removed as per Wikipedia:Verifiability. / Fred-Chess 13:48, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Review
edit- Christopher Polhem -- Requested for Peer review
- Culture of Sweden - some complaints on its factuality & tone
- Ted Gärdestad - could equally well be added in the "expansion"-section instead. Short article with disputed facts - at least those should be sorted out

General Content Suggestions
edit- English pronunciations for names.
- An IP user has suggested a move of Pajala–Ylläs Airport at the Help desk. Can someone with a knowledge of Swedish and ideally of Sweden check the source and perhaps look for outer sources to confirm is this move is or is not proper? Also, the article has only a single WP:PRIMARY source at present, another source or sources would be nice. DES (talk) 15:06, 22 October 2013 (UTC)
