This is a procedural nomination in response to a technical request for assistance on my talk page from Saint0wen (talk · contribs). The template had been prodded with the rationale "This club folded quite some time ago and no longer plays in the KHL", but I removed the tag because templates cannot be prodded. I am neutral. —KuyaBriBriTalk 15:33, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- Comment: Saint0wen (talk · contribs) is the original creator of this template, but it is ineligible for G7 because other editors have made substantive edits to this template. —KuyaBriBriTalk 15:37, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- Delete: HC Lada went bankrupt two years ago and was relegated out of the KHL. They have since reformed in a lesser Russian league, the VHL, but no teams within it have roster templates. It could be said that this roster technically could be updated since the team is active, but there is virtually no active updating of any kind for VHL clubs. I feel it is not necessary to keep this roster template, as it would not be used for its intended purpose. (Saint0wen (talk) 22:12, 21 November 2011 (UTC))

- Delete: I firmly believe this template should be deleted. MVD merged with HC Dynamo two years ago to become UHC Dynamo and there's already been a template for that club for some time. Since there's no longer an MVD roster to update, there's no need for this particular template. (Saint0wen (talk) 22:03, 21 November 2011 (UTC))

Unused template, without documentation Bulwersator (talk) 10:06, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- Might this have been intended to be substituted? Regardless, I'm pretty sure we already have pretty comprehensive template coverage for album releases. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) (talk) 10:15, 21 November 2011 (UTC)

- Template:Carlos Saldanha (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Relisting since last debate closed as no consensus. The director in question works exclusively for Blue Sky and as a result, this is 100% redundant to the Blue Sky template. I see no reason to have two templates that navigate exactly the same articles. No prejudice against re-creating if/when Saldanha leaves Blue Sky, but as it stands, this is nothing but template creep. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 18:43, 13 November 2011 (UTC)
Comment here's the previous discussion, which is not currently noted on the template's talk page with {{tfd end}}, and probably should be. --NYKevin @004, i.e. 23:05, 15 November 2011 (UTC)- {{tfd end}} added as of 02:34, 22 November 2011 (UTC). --NYKevin @149, i.e. 02:34, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
- Keep same reasoning as before.--TheMovieBuff (talk) 17:33, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
- Your "same reasoning as before" had nothing to do with my argument. I never mentioned WP:NENAN. I mentioned that it is REDUNDANT because all five films are from the same company, of which the director in question is an employee. Tell me why we need two templates that do the same damn thing. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 22:40, 19 November 2011 (UTC)
- Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion so a clearer consensus may be reached.

- Will someone NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE TEMPLATE'S CREATION please !vote already?! I don't want another "no consensus". Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 03:15, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- The reason why I haven't !voted is because I'm simply not sure what to do with this template: it is a borderline case. — This, that, and the other (talk) 06:33, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- Weak keep. First, there is no reason for impatience, Ten Pound Hammer. Second, I understand the nomination's (previous and current) points, but I see no everlasting bonds between Blue Sky and Saldanha that cannot be broken. I feel that once this is deleted, he would do a film outside the studio, proving need for the template. Plus, Saldanha isn't even listed as a related article in the template. | helpdןǝɥ | 04:25, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- Then why not wait until Saldanha leaves? You can't expect him to leave. What if he's with Blue Sky until he dies? Then his template's redundant. Ten Pound Hammer • (What did I screw up now?) 06:10, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- This is wholly redundant to {{Blue Sky Studios}} (I had to fish in the comments of the old TfD for a link to that template, by the way; this would have been easier if the nom had done so). The "what if he leaves" argument is bogus: we have navboxes because they help to move between related articles, not because we have some sort of mandate to have a navbox for every movie director. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) (talk) 10:08, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- Merge with Template:Blue Sky Studios Bulwersator (talk) 10:08, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- Delete. I agree that this is entirely redundant; I can't think of any article other than the director's own where this template would be used either in place of or along with the other. bd2412 T 19:08, 21 November 2011 (UTC)
- Delete per above. Navboxes serve to navigate, not to categorize and compartmentalize. --NYKevin @144, i.e. 02:26, 22 November 2011 (UTC)
- Delete, these works are not intuitively associated via the director, due to his limited artistic control. The template is also entirely redundant to the studio's template. Smetanahue (talk) 15:28, 27 November 2011 (UTC)
