- Template:NoCommons (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:Keep local (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Propose merging Template:NoCommons with Template:Keep local.
Redundant, easily confused with {{nowcommons}}
, poorly named. Keep local has far more transclusions [1] [2] and is more explicit. --NYKevin @029, i.e. 23:41, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- Redirect NoCommons to KeepLocal. The redundancy is really redundant. I have added a tracking category to see if the "commons=" parameter is in use at all. I feel, though, that we can redirect regardless of this parameter's value, as it is not very important. — This, that, and the other (talk) 10:45, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Should be replaced by {{Infobox Indian politician}}
as it fails standard MOS and content requirements —SpacemanSpiff 21:08, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- Mein Augen. Yup, fairly obvious replacement candidate. I'd nuke the redirect as well, given the very low transclusion count and the unlikelihood of it being used to refer to the general infobox. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) - talk 12:26, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

The result of the discussion was Delete, it appears the issues related to migrating these to {{start tab}} have been resolved. Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 23:47, 7 October 2011 (UTC)
- Template:WPUSEDU/Tabs/Tab (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:WPCAN/Tabs/Tab (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
- Template:WPPUNE/Tabs/Tab (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
Unused, following the transition of the templates which called them to use {{start tab}} directly. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) - talk 11:56, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- Keep -- Please keep these; they are an important part of maintaining a specific look for the Wikipedia Global Education Program that is tied to the visual identity of the program. Additionally, the changes made are currently buggy, and we will need to revert back to what we had before in order to keep it working. -- LiAnna Davis (WMF) (talk) 22:52, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
- For the time being I've undone the changes which negatively impacted the cited project work, per my user talk. With any luck a more permanent solution will still be found before this TfD is up. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) - talk 23:20, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
- Move to partent template. -- WOSlinker (talk) 06:41, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
- That sort of duplication shouldn't be necessary, especially the spacer code. I'm going to see what can be done to sort this soon. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) - talk 11:22, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
- delete all, including the ones mentioned by WOSlinker. With three simple edits, I have orphaned all of them, replacing them with {{start tab}}, see Template:Wikipedia Canada Education Program, Template:Wikipedia India Education Program, and Template:Wikipedia United States Education Program. I checked all the transclusions and there are no substantial changes, just a minor increase in spacing between the tabs. Frietjes (talk) 16:51, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

The result of the discussion was Delete, after replacement Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 01:31, 8 October 2011 (UTC)
Does the same thing as {{start tab}} but specific to WikiProjects. Was only used as Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation through Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/tabs, which has now been transitioned to use {{start tab}}. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) - talk 11:08, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- Does not seem to do the same thing as {{start tab}} as the result looks completely different! I have reverted your change to Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/tabs. If you can achieve exactly the same functionality then I would not oppose a merge. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 14:06, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- Unless I'm reading the {{tab}} code wrongly, it already supports adding garish colours and round borders should one choose to. That could be propagated to {{start tab}}, but it'd add another several kilobytes to the size of what is currently a simple and effective piece of code. On the other hand, {{WikiProject tabs}} defaults to these settings with no options to change them. (IMO this is a convincing reason for why it's never seen broader adoption.) I'd strongly argue in favour of simply using the plainer layout. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) - talk 14:16, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- delete, but we will need to do some work on {{start tab}} to make it behave better when the contents is wider than the screen. Currently, the contents spills outside of the "div" frame. However, if we changed the template to use a table, rather than a div, this would be fixed (see the section of code around the "contents" for the nominated template). Frietjes (talk) 22:37, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- Ahh yes, CSS is awesome. Yep, no problem with any changes to help with compatibility (though so far as I can see that's more of a general comment rather than one affecting this template's current transclusions). The exact styling of Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/tabs is a matter for another day. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) - talk 07:31, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
