Mount Price is a stratovolcano in the Garibaldi Ranges of southwestern British Columbia. It is 2,049 m (6,722 ft) high, and rises on the western side of Garibaldi Lake in New Westminster Land District. It has a number of features, including Clinker Peak, the source of two thick lava flows between 15,000 and 8,000 years ago. These unstable flows produced large landslides as recently as the 1850s. A provincial park surrounds Mount Price and other local volcanoes. It lies within an ecological region that surrounds much of the Pacific Ranges. Mount Price is one of a small group of volcanoes called the Garibaldi Lake volcanic field, part of the larger Garibaldi Volcanic Belt, a volcanic zone in the Canadian Cascade Arc. It began forming 1.2 million years ago and continued until sometime in the last 15,000 years.
