⭠ Last week's report

Waiting in line for a new Report each week, if Eternals should fail...

Rank Article Class Views Image Notes/about
Eternals (film)   1,669,266   The most recent Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film continues to sit atop the box office (fending off competition from newcomer Clifford the Big Red Dog this weekend) despite less-than-stellar reviews. It's likely to be left in the dust soon, though: the highly anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home is getting a trailer on the 16th, which—assuming the rumors and leaks are in fact accurate—is bound to take the world by storm.
Kenosha unrest shooting   1,638,924   Last year, police in Kenosha, Wisconsin, shot Jacob Blake. Protests and/or riots occurred for several days after that. A 17-year-old, Kyle Rittenhouse, ended up shooting three protestors, killing two. A trial, which will determine whether those two killings were in self defense, is currently underway.
Travis Scott   1,209,588   A crowd crush occurred at Astroworld Festival, held at the former Houston theme park, on November 5. Scott has come under fire for continuing the concert even after seeing ambulances going through the crowd. Scott and event organisers are facing over 100 lawsuits.
Deaths in 2021   803,598   Well, they tell me of a pie up in the sky
Waiting for me when I die...
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings   803,255   Friday was Disney+ Day, where amidst lots of announcements the streaming service got some big releases, including the better received predecessor to #1 in the MCU - who'd have imagine a martial arts movie beating an epic by the director of Nomadland?
No Time to Die   750,706   Another returning 25th movie in a franchise with Daniel Craig's departure as James Bond, which just hit digital download services in the US.
ICC Men's T20 World Cup   736,664   Australia beat New Zealand in Dubai to win the seventh edition of this cricket tournament.
Dune (2021 film)   689,717   Another sci-fi epic in theaters, only adapting a novel instead of a comic, and better received overall.
UFC 268   648,114   The latest mixed martial arts event, held at Madison Square Garden.
Amado Carrillo Fuentes   641,148   Narcos: Mexico returned to Netflix, and thus here's one of its characters, a drug dealer from the Juárez Cartel, played there by José María Yazpik.
Canelo Álvarez   636,086   Still in Mexico, but without breaking any laws, as this super middleweight boxer unified all four championship belts following a defeat of Caleb Plant.
Sooryavanshi   611,956   A newly released Indian Hindi-language action film, which stars Akshay Kumar as ATS chief DCP Veer Sooryavanshi.
Arcane (TV series)   547,738   This here writer has some apathy bordering on disdain for League of Legends, but that MOBA just inspired this animated show that hit Netflix.
Jai Bhim (film)   545,678   An Indian legal drama. This one is based on a real case of the 1990s and deals with the nation's caste divide. A controversial issue to this day (take it from someone who edits caste pages from time to time).
Squid Game   543,300   As its inclusion in this list is likely to be eliminated, series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk announced that he had begun planning for a second season. Information about this second season is unknown, other than Seong Gi-hun returning as the main protagonist, who will "do something for the world".
Elon Musk   527,088   Musk continues to command clicks (for better or for worse). His biggest story this week: after holding a Twitter poll in which users encouraged him to sell 10% of his Tesla stock, between November 9 and 10, Musk sold $5 billion in holdings.

And in case you're wondering, he's probably still going to be on the list next week because today he told a certain senator who wants to tax the rich "I keep forgetting that you're still alive", which is undoubtedly going to make much of the American left furious.

Red Notice (film)   515,019   Netflix actually got this movie in theaters for a while before its streaming release on Friday, because the expenditure was so much (bringing in Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds and Gal Gadot isn't cheap!) that it was better off to get some actual box office money. While this movie about thieves going after Cleopatra's relics (which still isn't enough reason for that page to be allowed back on this list) is not the most original thing, it's certainly fun.
2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup   496,036   Luckily for cricket fans, the next edition of #7 is less than a year away, to be held in defending champions Australia.
Kamal Ranadive   491,760   Google homaged the 104th anniversary of this Indian cell biologist responsible for groundbreaking cancer research.
The Harder They Fall (2021 film)   490,372   Revisionist Western featuring a predominantly black cast, continues to ride high on Netflix.
2022 FIFA World Cup qualification   439,032   More countries punched their tickets to Qatar, namely Brazil (the only country to have never missed football's greatest event), France (defending champions) and Belgium (that for all its hype and topping the FIFA World Rankings never won anything).
Dean Stockwell   437,298   Hollywood lost this actor at the age of 85, who started his career as a child and had worked for the better part of 70 years, including Best Picture winner Gentleman's Agreement, an Oscar-nominated turn in Married to the Mob, the show Quantum Leap and the first time the inspiration for #8 hit theaters.
Taylor Swift   408,147   Few artists could get so much attention for re-recording their music, but that's what Ms. Swift got by releasing Red (Taylor's Version). And next month, she can change one of the album's hits to sing "I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 32".
Love Hard (film)   404,820   The season for streaming services to be swamped with Christmas movies started! For instance, there is this Netflix flick featuring Nina Dobrev being catfished on the holidays.
Benjamín Arellano Félix   404,359   Keeping off the list two articles related to #3 (his missus and the tragedy during his concert) is another drug dealer chronicled in Narcos (pictured is his portrayer, Alfonso Dosal).
