Wikipedia:UPLIFT
This is an essay on the WP:Reliable Sources policy. It contains the advice or opinions of one or more Wikipedia contributors. This page is not an encyclopedia article, nor is it one of Wikipedia's policies or guidelines, as it has not been thoroughly vetted by the community. Some essays represent widespread norms; others only represent minority viewpoints. |
A non-reliable initial source of a printed allegation does not disqualify it from Wikipedia inclusion, provided that the material in question has been since reprinted in a reliable source. While most "stories" that originate in the blogosphere, tabloid press, or advocacy sites never are picked up by traditional media, those that do are considered reliably sourced for Wikipedia purposes once they have been.
