Course description
editThis course provides students with an overview of important theories in communication. This course will examine interpersonal, organizational, mass communication, and mediated theories for explaining the content and form of messages and the role of communicators as individuals, participants, and members of communities. Students will explore how these theories explain various aspects of message production, underlying assumptions supporting these explanations, and the implications of these explanations on how communication is studied.

Week 5 (10/9)
edit- Continue work on your page.
Week 7 (10/16)
edit- Progress report on Wikipedia page. Analyze existing page, reflection on contribution, goals for the page and proposal for work.
Week 9 (10/30)
edit- Go live with Wikipedia page. Get reviews from community and University of Dayton students.
Week 11 (11/13)
edit- Peer review Wikipedia pages. Write review on user's talk page.
Week 13 (11/27)
edit- Finalize changes for page reflecting comments and report those changes. Final reflection paper on Wikipedia assignment due.
