Article improvement & creation requests
editThe following are requests for the creation and improvement of project articles. Users are welcome to post a request if they would like for WikiProject Abortion members and other editors to help in writing, researching, or creating an article.
- Abstinence-only sex education (note: I realize this may not seem directly related to this WP's main topic, but it is an extremely popular, controversial issue amongst the same crowds that argue for or against abortion and does include information - often misinformation - about abortion and the risks thereof. The article is primarily in need of the following: sourced "Pro abstinence-only" arguments to balance out the Criticisms section; any information on how abstinence-only sex ed advocates reacted to the cited 2004 study that found that 11 out of 13 commonly-used AO programs used textbooks with huge scientific errors; and information on exactly what is covered - and how - in AO sex ed programs, which is only vaguely referenced in the article at current. At any rate, it dearly needs help, and this is one of the few places I could find that might be able to pull it off.)
- Philosophical aspects of the abortion debate this article was just created, and doesn't have a lead.
- Center for Reproductive Rights article is anemic and out-of-date. It is not reflective of the organization's significance in the fight for abortion rights. The list of cases "in recent years" was from 2013, ten years ago. Meanwhile CRR has dozens of cases currently open, including the highly publicized Zurawski v. State of Texas with 15 plaintiffs.
- Google searching "Center for Reproductive Rights" (entire phrase in quotes) gets 600 hits in NYTimes, 500 in AP News, over 400 in Washington Post. 600k hits on the web in general. -- M.boli (talk) 14:22, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
