GK at CRG

edit

Dear Rodger Dodger67 thank you for your reply. The image is a photo portrait of Gregory G. Curtin taken in his office by the employee of the company by Simon Sessler for the purpose of using in articles about Dr. Curtin. The photo solely belongs to Dr Curtin. It is published on Civic Resource Group Ccompany website in leadership section, here is the link to the page with the photo. What is the next step? Many thanks! Hi guys : )

I've resubmitted this page as I was told that it may be in violation of copyright.

http://www.brad.ac.uk/library/media/library/specialcollections/documents/CwlPTCCLDApr2010.pdf

I got in touch with the archive who gave me a creative commons copyright but was told this may not be enough. When I asked the archive to write to you using the template provided, I didn't hear anything from them. Instead I got in touch with Conscience, the successor organisation to the Peace Tax Campaign. I believe he emailed you using the template to give permission for use of this document.

Could you please let me know if the page can now be published?

@ZRay22: I don't see an indication at Draft talk:Conscience: Taxes for Peace not War that the copyright release has been accepted and logged yet. I would suggest taking the information from that document and rewriting it in your own words. That way there's no confusion about copyright. --Ahecht (TALK

Not sure what to do or where to go next - I accept this is my first article for Wikipedia but if the revisioner feels it doesn't show the subject's notability, even though I have included as many references I can find, does it mean this subject is just not good enough? The subject as been submitted and allowed on the German version of Wikipedia with far less references so I am a little perplexed Mtwhunt (talk) 17:09, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Mtwhunt: In order to show notability, you need to have references to what Wikipedia calls reliable sources (click that link for more information). Reliable sources are generally books by recognized experts in the field and news stories from sources that have a strong editorial policy. Online fan pages and clubs are generally not considered reliable sources. Also note that the references to reliable sources must have significant coverage of your article topic and they must be independent from the subject of the article and related organizations and companies. --Ahecht (TALK

I need help adding a picture to my article I have posted. How do I go about doing so? JengaProductions (talk) 22:58, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@JengaProductions: To quote User:Dodger67 above, "The answer would depend on exactly what photograph you wish to add. Please give us specific details about the photo such as a link if it is online or if it isn't online please explain how it came into your possession. The issue is mainly about ownership and copyright which we need to be very clear about before adding it anywhere on Wikipedia."
On another note, please see the message on your talk page about your username. --Ahecht (TALK

How long can I expect a review of a sandbox submission to take? It has been a week but still no response. Jwlippincott3 (talk) 23:05, 12 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Jwlippincott3: You haven't yet submitted your draft for review. Click on the big green "Submit your draft for review!" button on the top of the page and follow the instructions. Once submitted, your article will be reviewed as soon as possible, although in some cases reviews can take up to 3-6 weeks due to the huge backlog of articles waiting for review. --Ahecht (TALK
