I want to change the name of the article. Meaning that I want to erase the "User:" so it can remain only "Eugen Mirtz". I would do that myself if it would be possible, but even if I have confirmed my email, I still don't have the necessary buttons available so I am aking for help.

@Eugen Mirtz: The page User:Eugen Mirtz is for basic information about yourself, intended to facilitate your on-wiki activities. For guidelines on its allowed use, see Wikipedia:User pages. If you want the current content of User:Eugen Mirtz to become a Wikipedia article titled Eugen Mirtz, you are going about it in the wrong way.
  • Autobiorgraphies are strongly discouraged on Wikipedia. Don't write about yourself.
  • The starting point for any biography is a range of independent, reliable sources that discuss the person at depth, thus demonstrating that they are notable - that their biography qualifies to be included in Wikipedia.
  • Submissions to the English Wikipedia should be written in English.
  • The location from which to submit a draft that you wish to become an article is not your user page, but your user sandbox (User:Eugen Mirtz/sandbox) or the draft space (Draft:Eugen Mirtz).

The page was declined. Fratsy is a new business and we believe Wikipedia would be a great tool to help people understand what the company name stands for and that our goal is. 2A02:C7D:9BB0:B000:4547:6D49:7389:B397 (talk) 08:55, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not the place to "get the word out" about anything. Wikipedia articles cover notable topics—those that have garnered significant attention by the world at large and over a period of time. It is not for advertising, marketing, or public relations. --Worldbruce (talk) 23:46, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

11:34:25, 25 September 2017 review of submission by Dellusionist

My biography stub for Alessandro Passerin d'Entrèves was rejected due to notability. This surprised me because the subject has pages on Wikipedia in other languages, and the Fr and It Wiki bios formed the basis of my stub. Subject is also referred to in three En Wiki pages (two of which I linked within the draft). There is a surprising dearth of En language sources online on the subject (I've included the one I could quickly find in my draft). I have found a biography in It on what I understand to be the Italian analogue of the Dictionary of National Biography, but (1) I'm not confident in my understanding of Italian and (2) are citations to foreign language sources acceptable? So, advice on notability where existing pages on other language Wikipedias and where references in existing English Wikipedia articles would be gratefully received. Dellusionist (talk) 11:34, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dellusionist. Each language version of Wikipedia operates according to its own policies and guidelines, set by the community of editors who contribute there. So an article may satisfy the rules for the Italian or French Wikipedia but not the English one, or vice versa. The good news is that if an article satisfies one set of rules, often it can be improved to satisfy another set of rules with a small amount of work.
Foreign language sources are fine, as are offline sources. If you don't speak the language well enough to be comfortable using a source, you may add a "Further reading" section at the bottom of Draft:Alessandro Passerin d’Entréves and list it there. A visit to the library of a good research university to search their collections and the databases to which they subscribe will often pay good dividends. As Serena Professor of Italian at Oxford, the subject meets WP:PROF criterion #5, so with another reliable source or two - perhaps reviews of his books in academic journals - I would expect the draft to be accepted. --Worldbruce (talk) 00:44, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for those helpful insights, Worldbruce! I'll bear them in mind as I work up the next draft (when I get some time ;) ).

Harsayatallaya (talk) 13:41, 25 September 2017 (UTC) IS MY ARTICLE NOT ELIGIBLE? WHY?[reply]

Harsayatallaya (talk) 13:45, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

BY WHEN WILL YOU REVIEW MY DRAFT
Hi Harsayatallaya. The longest a draft has been awaiting review is six weeks, so if conditions remain constant I would expect your draft to be reviewed by the first week in November. --Worldbruce (talk) 00:48, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Someone keeps deleting all my content without providing me a notification or a reason as to why so that I may challenge. Can you please help me to understand why all the photos were deleted? I have authority and permission to create and publish.

Toyiab77 (talk) 23:39, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Toyiab77. The photos from wikimedia commons that you added to Draft:Mamadou Ibrahima FALL were deleted for violating copyright, see:
Notifications of the deletions were placed on the talk page of the uploader, Liberate2019. If the uploader is not the photographer, and the images have not been previously published under a free license, but the photographer is willing to donate the images to Wikipedia, the uploader will need to follow the procedure outlined at Commons:OTRS. --Worldbruce (talk) 01:11, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering if someone could take a look at my references for this page and see if they are formatted correctly. Thanks! Nmmoore (talk) 23:53, 25 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Nmmoore. The formatting of the references is adequate. That of entries in the "Selected Scholarship" section could be greatly improved. Browse featured articles about academics and writers to see different ways how. Editors may tinker with the format to improve it, but the formatting will not affect the draft's chances of acceptance. Skimming the sources, I have some concern that the references may show that Every Campus a Refuge is notable, but may not show that Diya Abdo merits an article separate from that of the organization. If, while you wait for the draft to be reviewed, you can add any independent reliable sources that focus on her academic career instead of on the organization, that would be a plus. --Worldbruce (talk) 01:31, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
